If you wish to utilise KaraFun across several screens with your Android device, you may cast your screen to a television or monitor using Chromecast, Google Home, or a direct HDMI connection. This enables you to display karaoke lyrics on a larger screen for an enhanced experience.
- Ensure your Android device and Chromecast/Google Home are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open the Google Home app.
- Select "Cast Screen" from the navigation drawer.
- Tap the "Cast Screen" button and choose your Chromecast or Google Home device.
- Launch KaraFun and the lyrics will appear on your television.
Tips
- For a stable connection without delays or freezes, use an HDMI cable and adapter to connect your Android device directly to your TV.
- Keep your Android device charged while casting to avoid any interruptions.
- If you encounter lag, consider restarting both your casting device and Android phone.
- KaraFun is compatible with Apple TV, Android TV, and Fire TV. If your Smart TV operates on one of these systems, you can download the KaraFun app directly from the store.
- If your TV has Chromecast built-in, or if you possess a Chromecast stick, you can follow the steps mentioned here to learn how to cast your screen. (See the list of compatible devices here.)
- You may also use Google Home with an Android device via the Google Home app to cast your screen.
- To allow guests to add songs to the queue, you can display the QR code by going into "Settings" > "Remote control" and ticking "Display QR code on screen".
- To cease casting your screen:
- From the notification drawer: Swipe down to open the notification drawer on your Android device and tap "Disconnect".
- From the Google Home app: Reopen the Google Home app, select "Cast Screen" from the navigation drawer, and tap "Disconnect".
