Many karaoke fans will tell you how good they feel after singing. Whether it's relieved, or excited, or just happy, it's never really been explained what makes us feel so good about karaoke.
According to Nina Samson, a Vocal Therapist, singing increases the activity of our brain and eases blood circulation, which makes us feel better and actually reduces stress. Like a sport, karaoke triggers mechanisms that puts muscles to work and our brain responds to that stimulation.
Singing in public also helps the singer to feel better about themself and become more self-confident.
The specialist outlines, not without a smile, that the only potential risk (for people singing out of tune) is... to bother your neighbors.
But that's probably not your case!
